Where's the Show?

I've been geeking out with the Google Maps API this past month and am ready to present the first verison of JamBase Maps: http://www.jambase.com/maps/

JamBase Maps allows you to see Who's Playing Where Tonight. Now you have even more reasons to Go See Live Music tonight!

It will take a few moments for the page to load, but once it does it will display a list of 'most' of the shows for tonight. I'm still filling in the blanks on a few venue addresses and locations, but this should give you enough to chew on for the time being. You can move around and zoom just like any other Google Map, and then click on a Marker for a view of who is playing. The Satellite and Hybrid views are also extremely fun. There is a toggleable list of events that you can turn on the right side if you want to cheat and see them all.

There will be more fun integrated stuff in the future, but this was just too damn cool to keep to myself any longer, so enjoy!

If you have any ideas on where this could go or other applications, feel free to email maps@jambase.com and we can talk about it. You can also leave a comment below.

Enjoy!

Well done on this, Andy.

This is definitely a worthwhile tool that I've already needed to use. (I'm on a weekend vacation in NC, and I couldn't find much in the area last night).

Way cool! Putting more music on the map is always a good idea.

Where's the show and how far do I have to walk there from my house, train, bus, parking lot etc...

Well now you can find out

This is not officical, but another cool google map feature that lets you calculate walking, running, other distances between multiple points. ( http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/)

Helping me relaize my dream of counting all those miles I actually walked to hear a "Llama".
