Fresh from the concert at Bethel Woods Aug. 13th and totally unimpressed with this event. I always felt going to a live concert was supposed to have a special feeling in that you could feel the mood and the music. Not so at Bethel Woods. Had great lawn seats in direct mid stage but the volume was so low the crowd never shut up and hearing the music became even harder. The second half was much better after they made their ANTI statements but still the music never provoked the crowd to get into the feeling. We will not be attending future concerts at this site unless some serious changes are made to bring the music up to sound preasure levels we go to concerts for. Additional speakers are needed on the top edge of the pavillion roof and the addition of a few more video screens along the edge will go a long way to bring this site into what we would consider a place to go to concerts. For now, I think it is catering toward the Philharmonic venue and not at all toward the rock concert crowd.
