Well, Phish is back on the road again in Europe. You can bet I'll be posting the setlists here as soon as I recieve them.

06/30/98 The Grey Hall - Freetown Christiana, Copenhagen, Denmark Soundcheck: Moma Dance^, Relax^^, Ha Ha Ha, Birds of a Feather, Water in the Sky** I: Limb by Limb, Story of the Ghost*, Water in the Sky**, Bouncin' Around the Room, Tube, Stash -> Cities, Roget***, Gyute, Beauty of My Dreams, Funky Bitch, Train Song, David Bowie II: Moma Dance^, Birds of a Feather, Wolfman's Brother -> Relax^^, Run Like an Antelope, Lawn Boy, Ya Mar, Ha Ha Ha, Mike's Song > Swept Away+ > Steep, Weekapaug Groove E: Robert and Brian++ * - heavily funked out intro, but not a new arrangement ** - new version; faster; arpeggiated *** - new song, first time played; this is NOT the song which was played during the April "Island" Tour; that song is Relax (aka Frankie Says, aka Frankie Sais), and was played during 2nd set; this is Roget (aka Roggae, aka Row Get; prounounced "row get" ^ - Similar to Black-Eyed Katy (perhaps "formerly known as Black-Eyed Katy"), but had lyrics during which (show only; not soundcheck) Trey taught people the "Moma Dance" which involved tapping the right foot at a certain spot. ^^ - first played 04/02/98, possibly titled "Frankie Says" or "Frankie Sais"; with lyrics "Relax, the world will spin beside itself and suck you in with threats and hopes beyond compare" + - definitely Swept Away; apologies for the confusion surrounding Walk Away ++ - new song; previously referred to as "Staring at the Walls"; with lyrics "This one's for you" or "This one's for the singer"; opened Monday night's rehearsal Thanks to Tara Fowler for the prompt, trans-atlantic phone call and Ellis Godard for confirmation.

07/05/98 Lucerna Theatre - Prague, Czech Republic I: Birds of a Feather, Taste, Cavern, Reba, Fee > "Funkalicious Jam" > Water in the Sky, Lawn Boy, Chalkdust Torture (60 min) II: Bathtub Gin > Moma Dance, McGrupp and the Watchful Hosemasters -> Axilla -> Harry Hood, Rocky Top E: Funky Bitch (II + E was 67 min) Thanks to Saul E. 07/08/98 Zeleste - Barcelona, Spain I: Moma Dance, Bathtub Gin, Punch You In The Eye, *Beauty of My Dreams, **Frankenstein, Gyute, Run Like an Antelope (1:14) II: Wilson^, Birds of a Feather, Dirt, Piper, Sleeping Monkey***, Story of the Ghost > Johnny B. Goode (approx. 50 min) E: Julius * - Trey teased "Freeride" before "Beauty" ** - False start of "Fee" before "Frankenstein" *** - At the start of Sleeping Monkey, Trey started yelling "Ole" and then told a story of how the band met a woman (Beatriz, aka Betty) from Chile the night before at a Brazillian bar (where folks were yelling "Ole" in celebration of Brazil's place in the World Cup soccer finals), and that this was her favorite song and that she'd come all the way from Chile to hear this song. 07/10/98 Zeleste - Barcelona, Spain I: Down with Disease, Dogs Stole Things#, Divided Sky#*, Mike's Song#** II: Halley's Comet > Jam > Roget, Sparkle#***, Mike's Song > Simple > Jam > Weekapaug Groove, Sample in a Jar, Good Times Bad Times E: Brian and Robert, Taste # - Loud PA problems in each of these songs * - Trey forgets some of the guitar parts, aborted after a particularly bad PA glitch. ** - aborted due to PA problems. Set I ends early (27 min) so the crew can work on the PA. Trey promises a long second set, right up to the curfew. *** - aborted due to PA problems. Trey asks the road crew to turn the monitors around to face the audience and just use them a PA, without the mains. While they are working, there is a joke session. Trey, then Mike, then Fish each tell a joke, Trey asks Fish to tell the Prison Joke but (un?)fortunately the PA is set up and Trey says "Lets try this one again" before Mike's Song starts.
