07/30/99 Fuji Rock Festival (Green Stage) - Naeba, Niigata, Japan Chalk Dust Torture, Guyute, Wolfman's Brother, Taste, Speech*, Punch You in the Eye > Waste, Hello My Baby** * - the band huddled and Trey apologized for not being able to speak, himself and then brought out a translator who spoke to the crowd in Japanese ** - a cappella Webcast came in at the end of Chalk Dust Torture. One set, about an hour in length. Phish will perform later on the Field of Heaven Stage. Thanks to Phish.Net and David 'zzyzx' Steinberg
7/26/99 Deer Creek - Noblesville, Indiana I: Farmhouse, Get Back on the Train, Vultures, Sleep, Gumbo > NICU Beauty of My Dreams, Bathtub Gin, Mountains in the Mist, Axilla I, Stash II: Wolfman's Brother, Piper, Theme from the Bottom > Down with Disease, Feedback Jam* > Split Open and Melt** E: Woodstock***, Julius * jam (four minutes total) started as a feedback-based thing, as in the beginning of Also Sprach Zarathustra. Fishman pulled into the drum beat of ASZ, but Mike layed down the bass line of Split, and that's where they finally headed instead. ** Trey ended Split Open & Melt with a speech thanking the Phish fans for being so cool and sharing the values of peace and love. He made several mentions to the 'shit' that went down at Woodstock over the weekend, and was very passionate about the fact that the band is surrounded and apart of such an amazing scene... *** "Well I came upon a child of god..." by Crosby, Stills & Nash - Unfinished (1st time played) Thanks to Christian Hoard for the setbreak and post-show calls, and to Mike and Erin for the use of their cell phone! :)
7/25/99 Deer Creek, Noblesville, IN I: Meat^, My Friend My Friend -> My Left Toe -> Whipping Post^^, Makisupa Policeman^^^, I Saw It Again, Boogie on Reggae Woman, Cavern II: Birds of a Feather > Walk Away, Antelope, Suzie Greenberg*, HYHU > Purple Rain*** > Hold Your Head Up, You Enjoy Myself**** E: Loving Cup ^ with Mike breakdown solo; also, Meat has never opened a show before ^^ not played in 206 shows (since 8/10/96) (Sung by Trey) ^^^ Trey announced that it's Chris Kuroda's birthday, then played a Happy Birhday solo, then each of the other band members took a turn in a cycle of rasta solos. Then Mike took a bass solo. Then Fish babbled for awhile in a Jamaican accent. Then Kuroda took a one-minute light solo -- unaccompanied by music! :) * with Page start/stop jam; and teases of I Wish by Stevie Wonder ** Fishman forgot words to second verse :) *** not played in 208 shows (ince 8/6/96) **** with teases of Boogie on Reggae Woman Thanks to Christian Hoard for the prompt setbreak and post-show calls! :)

7/18/99 Oswego County Airport - Volney, New York I (100 min): Punch You in the Eye, Farmhouse, Water in the Sky, Bathtub Gin, Get Back on the Train*, Call Me If You Need a Fool*, Blue and Lonesome, Beauty of My Dreams, Moma Dance, Reba, Chalkdust II (60 min.): Runaway Jim -> Free, Meatstick**, Guyute, Axilla I***, Llama III (110 min.): My Soul, Piper^^ > Caspian > WIlson -> Catapult ^^^ -> Icculus ^^^^, Mighty Quinn, Fluffhead E: Harry Hood * with the Del McCoury Band ^ one DMB member broke a string and left the stage, and a fiddle-banjo breakdown thing ensued during his absence ** with an explanation of the record by Trey, with Sofi on stage dancing, and with Guinnes Book of World Records staff videotaping the event for verification yet on what the estimated attendance count was, much less a count of those dancing, though premilinary reports suggest the crowd may have exceeded 70,000, but but that participation in the Meastick Dance was weak. *** Axillas on this tour have been Axilla I but with the II ending; this performance was pure I, with no II ending ^^ with glowrings, and Trey on keys ^^^ Catapult was followed by a tremendous amount of banter and toying, all continuing an E chord from the end of Wilson (which was never finished) Trey: "READ THE FUCKING HELPING FRIENDLY BOOK" he said you wont find it on mtv r barnes & noble or borders or amazon or internet ...."if you wannna find out you gotta read the fucking book " Smoke on the Water, compared it to Cat Scratch Fever, and more. ^^^^ followed by more narration, and teases of the Stones'"Miss You" (primarily the vocal "ooh"s)_ Thanks to Phish.Net & aLi for calling them verbosely! :)
