Phish Tastes Good with Turkey
It's the Eve of Thanksgiving and I'm in a very unusual place... the West Coast.
The invitation by Andy to contribute to this Phish "shrine" was too irresistable to pass up. In fact, I found 11-22-97 I to put on for the occasion. A couple days off but we're close. The real kicker is that this was EIGHT YEARS ago. Where has the time gone? I know for sure I had some good times - I have the ticket stubs to prove it.
What can I say about Phish that I haven't already said before? That it was the most fun I think I'll ever have in my life? That everything always seemed to "work out" at a Phish show? That at any point, it was the one time and place on the planet where I only wanted to be right where I was. I remember standing there, under the lights, thinking that in a few minutes, someone would be trying to find out what was happening right at this very moment. Someone was hitting refresh on their browser and waiting for the page to s-l-o-w-l-y load up and MAYBE there'd be another song added (that is, if they weren't in a 20 minute Mike's jam and at this point it's KILLING you to know that you are missing a sick Mike's jam!) and so on, and so on... C'mon, you know who you are, refreshers. Anyway, I digress...
Andy, thanks for the shrine. I'll gush when I'm feelin' it. Long live Reba.
Happy Thanksgiving,
SDL
