12/7/97 Remembered

Today is the 8 year anniversary of Phish's timeless performance at the Nutter Center in Dayton OH (12.7.97). This is a stand out show amidst one of the most exceptional tours that any band has ever put forth. When Phish was at their best, the entire night's performance was like a single masterful work, rather than just a series of songs played before and after one another. Dayton was one of these special nights where each song was played with focus, intent and purpose. Performing they day before the 17th anniversary of John Lennon's murder, Phish created an energy that seemed to channel a reverence and respect for a man who has had so much influence on rock and roll.
